Water‐driven dispersible fiber electrode arrays for position‐dependent intracardiac electrophysiological recording

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
Abstract Intracardiac electrophysiological recording plays an essential role in identifying abnormal cardiac electrical activity and guiding arrhythmia diagnosis and treatment planning. A key challenge for minimally invasive intracardiac electrodes is to combine reliable transvascular delivery with stable and compliant endocardial contact.

A flexible dual‐gate thin‐film transistor‐based tactile sensor array with polarity‐aware encoding for neuromorphic recognition

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
A flexible piezoelectric tactile sensor array is developed by integrating polyvinylidene fluoride sensing elements with dual‐gate indium‐tin‐zinc oxide thin‐film transistor‐based pixel amplifiers. Direct coupling to the high‐impedance gate minimizes signal loss, enabling twofold voltage amplification and an extended effective relaxation time of ∼4.86 s

SubRidge: a 3-D Subduction-to-Ridge Model with Synthetic Seismic Waveforms for Benchmarking

open access: yesSeismica
We present a geodynamic model that simulates the co-evolution of a mid-ocean ridge and adjacent subduction zones. From the dynamic evolution of this system, we derive spatially variable 21 elastic constants and generate a suite of synthetic seismic ...

Acoustic Activity of Intergranular Corrosion Sensitized AISI 304L in Double‐Loop Electrochemical Potentiodynamic Reactivation Test

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
Intergranular corrosion of AISI 304L is analyzed, combining DLEPR test and AE. Slow scan rate polarization reveals time‐shifted and frequency‐dependent acoustic emission in the active region of the DLEPR curve, allowing a separation between passive oxide rupture, intergranular corrosion and pitting. ABSTRACT Intergranular corrosion (IGC) susceptibility

High‐ and Low‐Frequency Waveform Analysis the Marsquake of Sol 1222: Focal Mechanism, Centroid Moment Tensor Inversion and Source Time Function

open access: yesEarth and Space Science
The seismometer onboard InSight NASA Mars mission discovered a seismically active planet. We focused on the strongest event named S1222a (4 May 2022, Mw ∼ 4.7), which was recorded by the Very Broad Band sensors and associated channel ELYSE and is located

Bottom-Simulating Reflectors (BSRs) in Gas Hydrate Systems: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
The bottom-simulating reflector (BSR) serves as an important seismic indicator for identifying gas hydrate-bearing sediments. This review synthesizes global BSR observations and demonstrates that spatial relationships among BSRs, free gas, and gas ...

Preconditioning elastic full waveform inversion by scattering theory

open access: yesRecent Advances in Exploration Geophysics, 2016
The waveform analysis is a powerful tool to investigate the physical properties in the areas of interest. Since the wave propagation is influenced by all elastic parameters, it is necessary to include these parameters in the inversion. On the other hand, multi-parameter FWI is a challenging problem because some elastic parameters increases the ...

Martian‑Regolith Simulant Confined Nanogenerators for Wireless Tactile Sensing for Human‐Machine Interface

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A Martian regolith‐simulant/PDMS triboelectric nanogenerator is developed as an ISRU‐inspired, self‐powered tactile sensor for wireless human–machine interface applications. ABSTRACT Achieving a sustainable energy system for space missions remains challenging due to the continued reliance on Earth‐supplied materials.

Probabilistic estimation of reliable sensor spacing for wire break detection in prestressed concrete using acoustic emission technique

open access: yesStructural Concrete, EarlyView.
Abstract The acoustic emission (AE) technique has proven to be an effective method for detecting individual wire breaks in prestressed concrete structures affected by stress corrosion cracking (SCC). However, despite its widespread application, the quantitative assessment of AE monitoring reliability and optimal sensor placement remains unresolved ...
