Elastic optical networks (EON) based on OFDM/SCFDM subbands are proposed in this paper. We verify the ROADM and switching functionality for individual subband on optical superchannel that consists of multi subbands.

Performance of elastic optical network with limited slicers
A bandwidth blocking occurs due to bandwidth fragmentation in an elastic optical network, which arises from setting up and tearing down of lightpaths. An appropriate routing and spectrum allocation (RSA) approach can reduce this blocking. RSA performs under two allocation rules, which are continuous connection and consecutive slots.

Performance Analysis of Abradable Coating Systems for Aircraft Gas Turbines
Three CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/MgAl2O4 abradable liner configurations on a nickel‐superalloy are evaluated by thermal‐gradient cycling and incursion tests. Laser ablation of the bondcoat and/or Y2O3‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) intermediate layer increases mechanical interlocking and bonding for thick topcoats.
