Source parameters of the great Sumatran megathrust earthquakes of 1797 and 1833 inferred from coral microatolls [PDF]
Large uplifts and tilts occurred on the Sumatran outer arc islands between 0.5° and 3.3°S during great historical earthquakes in 1797 and 1833, as judged from relative sea level changes recorded by annually banded coral heads.

A self‐gelling PG@PAC (POD/Gel‐CDH@PA/CHX) powder is developed for infected burn care in austere settings. Upon contact with wound exudate, it instantly forms an adhesive hydrogel, providing simultaneous hemostasis, broad‐spectrum antibacterial activity, reactive oxygen species scavenging, and immunomodulation. In a murine model of S.

Estimating the Elastic Settlement of Vertically Loaded Single Piles in Rock
An extensive finite element analysis was performed to study the settlement behavior of vertically loaded piles entirely embedded in non-homogeneous rock. To avoid utilizing interrelated parameters, pile-rock relative stiffness was expressed as a function of the elastic modulus of rock mass near the pile head that does not depend on pile length.

Shaping of Biohybrid Functional Living Materials
This work demonstrates a strategy for shaping living mycelium into functional materials by directing its natural growth. Nanoparticles armor hyphae, micron‐scale particles entangle within the network, and printed hydrogel architectures steer expansion, creating defined geometries.
