Elastic Downsampling: An Adaptive Downsampling Technique to Preserve Image Quality [PDF]
This paper presents a new adaptive downsampling technique called elastic downsampling, which enables high compression rates while preserving the image quality. Adaptive downsampling techniques are based on the idea that image tiles can use different sampling rates depending on the amount of information conveyed by each block.

Assessment of liver fibrosis using 2-dimensional shear wave elastography: a prospective study of intra- and inter-observer repeatability and comparison with point shear wave elastography [PDF]
Purpose The purpose of this study was to prospectively investigate the intra- and inter-observer repeatability of a new 2-dimensional (2D) shear wave elastography (SWE) technique (S-Shearwave Imaging) for assessing liver fibrosis in chronic liver disease

Shear wave elastography using ultrasound: effects of anisotropy and stretch stress on a tissue phantom and reactive lymph nodes in the neck [PDF]
Purpose The purpose of this study was to evaluate how the anisotropy and the static stretch stress of the cervical musculature influence the measured shear modulus in a tissue-mimicking phantom and in cervical lymph nodes in vivo by using shear wave ...

Elasticity and Viscoelasticity Imaging Based on Small Particles Exposed to External Forces
Particle-mediated elasticity/viscoelasticity imaging has the potential to expand the elasticity imaging field, as it can provide accurate and local tissue elastic properties as well as density and viscosity. Here, we investigated elasticity imaging based
