A UNIQUENESS THEOREM IN ELASTODYNAMICS

The Quarterly Journal of Mechanics and Applied Mathematics, 1984
The present paper is concerned with the uniqueness theorems for harmonic elastic waves in isotropic, but inhomogeneous, bodies. The proof methods are based on the use of some integral inequalities and on some regularity conditions imposed to the material constants.

Boundary Integrals in Elastodynamics

IMA Journal of Applied Mathematics, 1985
(From the summary.) Surface integral equations with a unique solution are derived for the exterior problem for the harmonic waves of elastodynamics. The order of singularities of the kernel is reduced by transformations which are relevant to treatments in which the surface is subdivided into patches.

Elastodynamics of gels

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1982
The mechanical properties of gels are analyzed in terms of models which treat the three-dimensional displacements of the solid and fluid parts separately and on an equal footing, with no assumptions regarding smallness of concentration or even weakness of the solid skeleton frame.

Topics in Elastodynamics

1978
The notion of a continuous body is a primitive concept. A continuous body can be put in one-to-one correspondence with regions of the Euclidean space; more exactly, with family of such regions. Each of these regions is called a configuration of the body.
