Mechanically Reprogrammed Coaxial Fibers for Multiphysics Transduction and Human‐Machine Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A continuously wet‐spun coaxial fiber is developed to combine stretchable conductivity, resistive sensing, and self‐powered triboelectric sensing in a single architecture. A mechanically reprogrammed dual‐network sheath stabilizes large deformation and improves signal reliability. These fibers can be woven into textile interfaces for multichannel touch

Posteromedial elbow dislocation with lateral humeral condyle fracture in children: How to manage? Case report and review of the literature

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports
Posteromedial dislocation of the elbow is a rare entity even exceptional if associated with a lateral condylar fracture. Very few isolated cases are reported in the English literature.

Salter-Harris I fracture of the distal humerus in a neonate: imaging appearance of radiographs, ultrasound, and arthrography

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports, 2017
Neonatal Salter-Harris I fractures of the distal humerus are a rare injury. This injury can be easily mistaken for a posterior elbow dislocation, creating a delay in diagnosis. We present a case of a neonate with a distal humerus Salter-Harris I fracture

A Recyclable and Biodegradable High‐Performance Piezoelectric Nanogenerator for Self‐Powered Biosensing and Assistive Human‐Machine Interaction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By exploiting multiscale hydrogen‐bonding interactions between HFPD and TOCNF, the composite simultaneously achieves a high piezoelectric coefficient (14.0 pC·N−1), outstanding flexibility (100 000 bending cycles), water‐assisted recyclability, excellent biodegradability, and sensitive wearable/implantable sensing for motion, speech, and Morse code ...

Bio‐Inspired Gradient Heterogeneous Architectures for Ultrasensitive and Robust Strain Sensors via Programmable Crack Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by the insect campaniform sensillum, a heterogeneous bilayer strain sensor is developed based on a unique impedance mismatch and three‐dimensional structural dynamic percolation strategy. The sensor enables real‐time multi‐joint teleoperation of three joints and the gripper using a six‐degree‐of‐freedom robotic‐arm platform.

Interbody Wire for Reconfigurable Robots: Bridging Integrated Morphological Reconfiguration and Distributed Wire‐Mediated Cooperation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
TwinX shows how a single interbody wire connecting two robots can support both integrated morphological reconfiguration and distributed wire‐mediated cooperation. When the robots dock, they reconfigure into different forms for locomotion and manipulation.

Management of Adult Lateral Condyle Fracture: Unveiling a Complex Elbow Injury: A Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Case Reports
Introduction: Lateral condyle fracture with elbow instability is a rare injury. To our knowledge, this is the second case report describing the mechanism of injury and its management.

Osteomyelitis Variolosa: A Report of Two Cases

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Surgery, 2008
We present 2 patients with osteomyelitis variolosa in both elbow joints—sequelae of smallpox. The condyles were elongated and the central portions of the distal humeri were absorbed and the elbow joints were unstable.

Severe Phenotype in an Indian Family With Progressive Pseudorheumatoid Arthropathy of Childhood

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Progressive pseudorheumatoid arthropathy of childhood (PPAC) is a rare autosomal recessive progressive condition that affects the cartilage of joints and bones. The symptoms of PPAC include stiffness of the joints, bony swelling of the toes and fingers, short stature, kyphosis, and muscle weakness.
