Robotic Control for Human–Robot Collaborative Assembly Based on Digital Human Model and Reinforcement Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a robotic control method for human–robot collaborative assembly based on a biomechanics‐constrained digital human model. Reinforcement learning is used to generate physiologically plausible human motion trajectories, which are integrated into a virtual environment for robot control learning.

Multimodal Human–Robot Interaction Using Human Pose Estimation and Local Large Language Models

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A multimodal human–robot interaction framework integrates human pose estimation (HPE) and a large language model (LLM) for gesture‐ and voice‐based robot control. Speech‐to‐text (STT) enables voice command interpretation, while a safety‐aware arbitration mechanism prioritizes gesture input for rapid intervention.

Wavy‐Interlocked Stretchable Triboelectric Nanogenerators Enhanced by Liquid Metal Microflowers for Self‐Powered Wearable Motion Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic showing a stretchable triboelectric nanogenerator based on interlocked wavy architectures that uses EGaIn microflower‐embedded PVDF‐TrFE and Nylon‐6 nanofiber membranes. The multi‐petaled, electron‐rich EGaIn microflowers enhance interfacial polarization and capacitance, while the interlocked wavy architecture enlarges the effective contact ...

Optimization of Traction Magnetic Resonance Imaging to Improve Visibility of the Elbow Cartilage

open access: yesDiagnostics
We previously reported that elbow magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with 7 kg traction increases the joint space width of the radiocapitellar joint and improves articular cartilage visibility without arthrography.

A Stretchable, Mechanically‐Interlocked Polyrotaxane Hydrogel for Wearable Motion and Electrophysiological Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A mechanically interlocked polyrotaxane hydrogel integrates sliding macrocycles within a covalent network, yielding skin‑like softness, high stretchability, robust adhesion, and stable ionic conductivity. This multifunctional interface enables simultaneous high‑fidelity monitoring of human motion and epidermal electrophysiological signals (ECG/EMG ...

Parkinsonian Rigidity Shows Variable Properties Depending on the Elbow Joint Angle

open access: yesParkinson's Disease, 2013
Parkinsonian rigidity has been thought to be constant through a full range of joint angle. The aim of this study was to perform a detailed investigation of joint angle dependency of rigidity. We first measured muscle tone at the elbow joint in 20 healthy

Ultrasound-Assisted Posteromedial Portal Placement of the Elbow Joint to Prevent Ulnar Nerve Injury

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, 2017
Direct posterior and posterolateral portals are the standard portals used in posterior elbow arthroscopy. A posteromedial portal in the elbow is not recommended because of its proximity to the ulnar nerve.

The ulnar collateral ligament response to valgus stress, repetitive pitching, and elbow muscle contraction in asymptomatic baseball pitchers

open access: yesJSES Reviews, Reports, and Techniques
Background: In baseball, repetitive pitching leads to medial elbow injuries, particularly to the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL). To prevent pitchers from UCL injuries, it is important to quantify the response to elbow stress.
