Cumulative effects of lifelong systemic excess growth hormone on postcranial skeletal morphology in adult mice

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
Our μCT‐based pilot study reveals size and shape disparity in the adult postcranial skeleton of growth‐hormone model (bGH) mice relative to wild‐type mice. bGH mice have larger and more sexually dimorphic bones, with a systemic radiodensity increase in bony sesamoids and associated, but typically uncalcified, soft tissues.

Volume‐Stable Collagen Matrix With or Without Platelet‐Rich Fibrin Impregnation for Multiple Gingival Recessions: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
This split‐mouth randomized clinical trial showed that platelet‐rich fibrin impregnation of a volume‐stable collagen matrix did not improve clinical, esthetic, or patient‐reported outcomes compared with collagen matrix alone for multiple gingival recession treatment after 6 months. ABSTRACT Aim This split‐mouth randomized clinical trial aimed to assess

Radio‐ulnar ischaemic necrosis in 14 dogs

open access: yesJournal of Small Animal Practice, EarlyView.
Objective To characterise signalment, imaging features and any associated clinical findings of dogs with a radiographic diagnosis of radio‐ulnar ischaemic necrosis. Study design Retrospective case series reviewing medical records (2010 to 2024) of dogs with imaging lesions consistent with a radio‐ulnar ischaemic necrosis on computed tomography or ...

Clinical Outcomes of an Improved Arthroscopic Suture‐Bridge Technique Assisted by a “5 O'clock” Portal for Acute Bony Bankart Lesions

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, EarlyView.
This modified arthroscopic suture‐bridge technique, utilizing a unique “5 o'clock” portal, achieves reliable perpendicular fixation for bony Bankart lesions, reducing mean glenoid bone loss from 18.2% to 2.5% (p < 0.001) with a 97.2% healing rate and 80% return‐to‐sport rate. ABSTRACT Purpose Bony Bankart lesion is a primary cause of traumatic shoulder

How Requests Create Reasons

open access: yesPhilosophy and Phenomenological Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT By issuing requests of one another, we wield what is, on reflection, a remarkable power: to create reasons at will. But how can requesters give us reasons to do what they want, even when they stand in no relation of authority over us? And what would be lost if we saw requests as communicating the existence of pre‐existing reasons, rather than ...

Influence of intra‐articular injectate volume on joint surface coverage and leakage following canine elbow arthroscopy: A cadaveric study

open access: yesVeterinary Surgery, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective To determine whether reduced intra‐articular (IA) injection volumes provide complete synovial surface coverage while minimizing leakage following canine elbow arthroscopy. Study design Randomized cadaveric study. Animals Forty elbow joints from 20 canine cadavers weighing >15 kg.
