Electoral Systems and Voting Behaviour
1997In this chapter we shall focus on some of the most important aspects of elections in Western Europe. First, we shall examine the wide range of electoral rules under which people vote across the continent, and then we shall show that these different electoral systems can have quite pronounced consequences for the governance of a country.
