Fabrication and simulation of permittivity graded materials for electric field grading of gas insulated power apparatus

open access: closedIEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, 2016
An innovation for the higher performance and reliability of electric power apparatus can be brought about by a novel technique on electrical insulating materials. The application of functionally graded materials (FGM) with spatial distribution of dielectric permittivity in solid insulator is an effective technique to contribute to the above innovation,

Apparatus and methods for electrical contact resistance study of cleaned and corroded materials

Measurement Science and Technology, 1990
Contact resistance is the main reliability criterion for contact components such as relays, switches and connectors. In order to be free from the imposed mechanical and electrical parameters of these components, a complete apparatus has been adjusted in the authors' laboratory.

Apparatus for the rapid measurement of electrical transport properties for both “needle-like” and bulk materials

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2001
Described in this article is an apparatus in which thermopower and resistivity can be measured almost simultaneously from 10 to 300 K in a closed cycle refrigerator system. A distinction of this system is that the samples are mounted on integrated circuit (IC) chips for rapid introduction of the sample into the measurement apparatus.

Apparatus for the measurement of electrical resistivity, Seebeck coefficient, and thermal conductivity of thermoelectric materials between 300 K and 12 K

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2016
We have developed a custom apparatus for the consecutive measurement of the electrical resistivity, the Seebeck coefficient, and the thermal conductivity of materials between 300 K and 12 K. These three transport properties provide for a basic understanding of the thermal and electrical properties of materials.

An alternative methodology for thermoset resin dielectric insulation material insertion and electrical apparatus life cycle predictability

Conference Record of the the 2002 IEEE International Symposium on Electrical Insulation (Cat. No.02CH37316), 2003
The successful insertion of an epoxy formulation into an advanced dielectric insulation system may be characterized as an expression of a complex, interactive set of properties and processing parameters; from raw material selection to design configuration.
