Barkhausen noise controlled by electric current through core

Journal of Applied Physics, 1981
Barkhausen noise, thought of as mainly due to sudden irreversible jumps in the moving domain wall, can be controlled significantly by passing suitable galvanic currents (Iz) through the magnetic core. For example, the maximum jump amplitude in the straight 2826 MB Fe40Ni38Mo4B18 amorphous ribbon in as-quenched state, excited by a 260 A/m, 0.001 Hz ...

Quantum interference control of electrical currents in GaAs

IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1998
In an earlier publication, preliminary observations of the generation of electrical currents were reported in GaAs and low-temperature-grown GaAs (LT-GaAs) at 295 K using quantum interference control of single- and two-photon band-band absorption of 1.55- and 0.775-/spl mu/m ultrashort optical pulses.

Quantum Interference Control of Electrical Currents in Silicon

2007 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO), 2007
Electrical currents are generated in clean silicon at T = 300 K using quantum interference of femtosecond fundamental and second-harmonic pulses. This efficient photoinjection of ballistic currents across the indirect bandgap is detected by the emitted terahertz radiation.

Control of the Magnetostatic Stray Fields Using Electric Current

Поверхность. Рентгеновские, синхротронные и нейтронные исследования, 2023
Possibility to control magnetic stray fields around conductive layered ferromagnet-containing systems has been analyzed. It is shown that different patterns of magnetic stray field can be realized depending on layers parameters and current. Calculation is based on the simplified model where the real stray field is approximated with that of effective ...

PROCESS FOR DRIVING ELECTRIC, CURRENT-CONTROLLED ACTUATORS

1993
A process has an open-loop which detects the total current intensity of actuators and supplies it to a microprocessor (1). In a modulation mode, the microprocessor successively generates at its output modulated set value signals for each actuator. The set value signals lie below the response level of the process.

Results of optimum current control on electric furnaces

JOM, 1950
With today’s emphasis on very fast and efficient melting practice, these operating data are particularly timely. The author shows records of actual heats to indicate the great advantages accruing from automatic current settings, as compared with the results obtained with the furnace operator adjusting current settings by hand and by guess.
