Magnetic noise controlled by electric current through core
Magnetic noise in tape cores can in general be suppressed considerably by passing suitable galvanic currents through them. The method is also applicable to samples subject to asymmetric shear twist forces. A linear decrease in peak-to-peak maximum magnetic noise is observed for increasing currents through the core for the amorphous ribbon Fe80B20.

Controlled motion of electrically neutral microparticles by pulsed direct current [PDF]
AbstractA controlled motion of electrically neutral microparticles in a conductive liquid at high temperatures has not yet been realized under the uniform direct electric current field. We propose a simple method, which employs pulsed direct current to a conductive liquid metal containing low-conductivity objects at high temperature.

The corrosion performance of AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg alloys produced through selective laser melting (SLM) was examined under compressive stress in a chloride environment. Electrochemical analyses, including open‐circuit potential (OCP), potentiodynamic polarization (CPP), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), were complemented by scanning ...

Decentralised control and fault ride-through of a multi-microgrid system
A multi-microgrid (MMG) system comprises of a cluster of microgrids interconnected for reliable and efficient operation in grid connected as well as islanded modes. In this study, the fault-ride-through capability of an MMG system is addressed.

Relations between ameboid movement and membrane-controlled electrical currents. [PDF]
We have studied the pattern of electrical currents through amebas (mainly Chaos chaos) with an ultrasensitive extracellular vibrating probe. Amebas drive both steady currents and current pulses through themselves. Relatively steady current with an average surface density of 0.1-0.2 muA/cm2 enters the rear quarter of an ameba and leaves its pseudopods ...

This study examines how several molten high‐silicon electrical steels interact with both conventional and recycled MgO–C refractories. For this, various immersion experiments are conducted. In addition to infiltration, a number of mechanisms are identified and explained that control the corrosion of the refractory material.

Independent-phase current control of a three-phase VSC under unbalanced operating conditions
This study presents an independent phase-current-control architecture for a three-phase voltage source converter. It comprises three independent single-phase phase locked loops (PLLs), and a dual-loop scheme including an outer loop (responsible for ...
