Electric Drive for Aircraft

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1947
The use of large amounts of power in aircraft becomes a power-handling problem; and electric transmission from the turbines mounted in the fuselage, to the propellers on the wings, has the same advantages as in handling very large amounts of power in industry.

Wavelet Denoising for Electric Drives

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2008
Signal identification is a common problem in electric drive applications. This paper proposes the use of wavelet transforms to extract and identify specific frequency components. Initially, current measurements from a constant voltage/hertz application are filtered using various wavelets and the results compared with conventional filtering methods.
