Magnetic resonance electrical impedance tomography at 3 tesla field strength

Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, 2004
AbstractMagnetic resonance electrical impedance tomography (MREIT) is a recently developed imaging technique that combines MRI and electrical impedance tomography (EIT). In MREIT, cross‐sectional electrical conductivity images are reconstructed from the internal magnetic field density data produced inside an electrically conducting object when an ...

Electric field strength and epithelization in the newt (Notophthalmus viridescens)

The Journal of Experimental Zoology, 1996
There is convincing evidence that endogenous electric fields are necessary for normal wound epithelization, but it is unclear whether normal epithelization rates can be accelerated increasing normal field strengths. Although we confirmed that normal lateral fields are required for normal Notophthalmus viridescens epithelization rates, significant ...

Electric conduction of glasses at intermediate field strengths

Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 1996
Abstract This study concerns four commercial glasses containing from 4 to 13 mol% alkali, a mixed alkali glass and three semi-conducting glasses containing from 5 to 10 mol% Fe2O3. Deviations from Ohm's law are detected somewhat beyond 104 V cm−1 and reach 10% at 105 V cm−1.

Extremely high electric field strengths in non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis

Journal of Chromatography A, 2001
The influence of high electric field strength on the separation of basic analytes in non-aqueous alcohol background electrolyte (BGE) solutions was investigated. Increasing the separation voltage in capillary electrophoresis (CE) may be advantageous if the conductivity of the BGE solution is low enough to allow fast separations without excessive Joule ...

Electrokinetic transport of aerobic microorganisms under low-strength electric fields

Journal of Environmental Science and Health, Part A, 2011
To investigate the feasibility of utilizing low strength electric fields to transport commonly available mixed cultures such as those from an activated sludge process, bench scale batch reactor studies were conducted in sand and sandy loam soils.

CCEM.RF-K20: Comparison of electrical field strength measurements

Metrologia, 2006
The comparison 'EUROMET-Project Nr 520', which started in April 1999 under the responsibility of the Swiss Federal Office of Metrology, was extended to a GT-RF comparison 'CCEM-RF-K.20' which officially started in September 2000, with more participants. The goal of this comparison was to assess the capability of each participating laboratory to measure
