Electric modulus and polarization studies on piezoelectric polyimides
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2011AbstractThe piezoelectric polymeric sensors and actuators are widely valued because of their low density, availability to obtain complex shapes, and easy processing among other characteristics. However, there are not many useful piezoelectric polymers.

Electric modulus and interfacial polarization in composite polymeric systems
Journal of Materials Science, 1998The applicability of the electric modulus formalism is investigated on a Debye-type relaxation process, the interfacial polarization or Maxwell–Wagner–Sillars effect. Electric modulus, which has been proposed for the description of systems with ionic conductivity and related relaxation processes, presents advantages in comparison to the classical ...

Electrical impedance and electric modulus approach of double perovskite Pr2ZnZrO6 ceramics
Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, 2013The polycrystalline praseodymium zinc zirconate Pr2ZnZrO6 (PZZO) is synthesized at 1,150 °C by means of solid state reaction technique. X-ray structural analysis confirmed the formation of a single phase monoclinic structure at room temperature. The nonzero intercept in the Nyquist plot indicates the presence of an arc for frequency higher than the ...

Electric modulus spectroscopy of PA6/PA66 aliphatic polyamide
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2020Frequency and temperature dependences of dielectric permittivity and electric modulus of PA6/PA66 copolymer were studied in the range of 25 – 106 Hz and 293 – 440 K, respectively. We found that at high temperatures and low frequencies, the dielectric permittivity e' and the dielectric loss e" were very large.

Electrical conductivity and complex electric modulus of NaCuFe2(VO4)3 material
Ionics, 2014Electrical properties of the NaCuFe2(VO4)3 compound were studied using complex impedance spectroscopy in the frequency range 300 Hz–5 MHz and temperature range (523–673 K). Both impedance and modulus analysis exhibit the grain and grain boundary contribution to the electrical response of the sample.

We have investigated an all-electrical indentation shear modulus and elastic modulus measurement technique using piezoelectric cantilever sensors with a tip for potential in vivo applications. A piezoelectric cantilever with a tip was capable of carrying out compression, shear, indentation, and indentation shear tests, where compression and shear tests

Electric relaxation in chemically synthesized polyaniline: study using electric modulus formalism
Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 1995Abstract A method of dielectric spectroscopy was used to determine the electric properties of chemically synthesized polyaniline (PANI) with special emphasis on the influence of acid and water doping levels on the polymer properties. The dependence of the dielectric loss factor (tan δ) on the temperature (in the range from − 100 to + 100°C) and the ...

XL.—The Variation of Young's Modulus under an Electric Current.
Proceedings of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 1908IN my first paper on this subject the behaviour of soft iron, steel, copper, and platinum was examined. In this paper the experiments have been carried a stage further, viz. the reaching of the cyclically steady state with a small load, the effect when the load is increased, and the heating by the ordinary method. As the behaviour of the wire when ...

We, here in report on the impedance, modulus and conductivity analyses of polycrystalline perovskite structured BaZr0.05Ti0.95O3 ceramic prepared by the conventional solid state reaction technique (SSRT). The X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern of the specimen confirms the formation of phase pure perovskite structure.

Derivation of the Havriliak – Negami equation for the complex electrical modulus
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2020The paper presents the derivation of the Havriliak-Negami equation for the real M'(ω) and imaginary M"(ω) parts of the complex electrical modulus M*(ω) from a similar equation for the complex permittivity e*(ω).
