Ring Motor Front Wheel for Electric Motorcycle
2019 IEEE Power and Energy Conference at Illinois (PECI), 2019A ring motor was sized as a replacement for the front wheel of an electric motorcycle. It makes use of a short axial length and large inner and outer diameter to fit within the wheel’s dimensions and minimize weight as best as possible. The motor utilizes an outer rotor, Halbach array, and concentrated windings.
