Electric space propulsion systems
Space Science Reviews, 1967Active development of electric thrustors began 10 years ago. Today, several kinds of thrustors have achieved efficiencies above 90 % and lifetimes of several thousand hours. The following article derives the basic theory of electric thrust production at constant exhaust velocity, and at variable exhaust velocity programmed for optimum vehicle ...

Fault diagnosis for the ship electric propulsion system
2015 11th International Conference on Natural Computation (ICNC), 2015According to the actual condition of the ship electric propulsion system, the fault tree was built via analyzing the fault characteristics and reasons of the components of the system. The analytic hierarchy process was used to calculate the weight of the fault reasons and formed a corresponding intelligent fault tree.

Development of electric propulsion systems at IRS
2008 IEEE 35th International Conference on Plasma Science, 2008This paper presents recent developments in the field of electric propulsion for interplanetary missions such as the arcjet system TALOS and the magnetoplasmadynamic thrusters Van-Allen belt and SIMP-LEX. Investigations include measurement of mass bit, plasma current, plasma acceleration time, plasma thrust, and plasma dynamic properties.

Current Propagation in Electric Railway Propulsion Systems
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1932TRACKS of electric railways, being continuously in contact with the earth, allow current to leak into the earth, the track current thus varying continuously at various points along the length of the track, unlike the currents in other conductors of the propulsion system.

Co-Simulation of Electrical and Propulsion Systems
SAE Technical Paper Series, 2001<div class="htmlview paragraph">One of the challenges of analyzing vehicular electrical systems is the co-dependence of the electrical system and the propulsion system. Even in traditional vehicles where the electrical power budget is very low, the electrical system analysis for macro power utilization over a drive cycle requires knowledge of the
