Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Dynamic Severity Assessment of Partial Discharge in HV Bushings Based on the Evolution Characteristics of Dense Clusters in PRPD Patterns

open access: yesSensors
High-voltage bushings are critical insulation components, yet conventional PRPD-based severity assessment methods that rely on global pattern morphologies such as “rabbit ears” and “tortoise shell” remain coarse, lack local sensitivity, and fail to track

Research on DC component decay time constant of 1000 kV AC filter circuit breakers in UHV converter station

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
In hierarchically connected UHV DC projects, the 1000 kV AC filter sub-bank in converter station is provided with two 500 kV circuit breakers. To determine the test DC component decay time constant when breakers break short-circuit current, relevant DC ...

ELECTRICAL PROTECTION OF MICROGRIDS

open access: yesEMERG - Energy. Environment. Efficiency. Resources. Globalization
The present work originates from the necessity of evaluating the electrical supply scheme of a bus charging station. Based on this framework, a microgrid model interconnected with the public network was developed, within which the calculations and dimensioning of short-circuit currents and transformer operating voltages were carried out.

The policy of consumer protection in the electricity market

open access: yesEconomic Annals, 2008
The provision of a safe and reliable electricity supply has a central place in modern social life. The rise of electricity prices and the process of liberalization of the electricity market are the two main factors which have made it necessary to modify the current traditional ways of protecting vulnerable customer categories.

Feasibility of Nitrogen as a Carrier Gas for Inconel Cold Spray in Hydropower Application

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
N2, despite being nearly two orders of magnitude cheaper than He, is a feasible carrier gas for cold spray Inconel coatings in hydropower repair applications when higher gas temperature and pressure are used. Reducing powder size significantly improved cavitation resistance, while the addition of fine chromium carbide particles further enhanced erosion
