TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.

Electrical Guidance of Human Stem Cells in the Rat Brain

open access: yesStem Cell Reports, 2017
Limited migration of neural stem cells in adult brain is a roadblock for the use of stem cell therapies to treat brain diseases and injuries. Here, we report a strategy that mobilizes and guides migration of stem cells in the brain in vivo.

Electric Stimulation Pada Luka Kaki Diabetik: Literature Review

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu dan Teknologi Kesehatan Terpadu, 2022
Diabetic foot ulcers occur in diabetic feet due to impaired blood circulation in the legs, nervous system disorders, and infection due to decreased body immunity. One of the new interventions that can be performed on diabetic feet is electric stimulation.

Bridging the gap: rewritable electronics using real-time light-induced dielectrophoresis on lithium niobate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In the context of micro-electronics, the real-time manipulation and placement of components using optics alone promises a route towards increasingly dynamic systems, where the geometry and function of the device is not fixed at the point of fabrication ...

Decreased Serum 5‐HT: Clinical Correlates and Regulatory Role in NMJ of MG

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Although 5‐Hydroxytryptamine (5‐HT) indirectly stimulates muscle contraction and participates in regulating Acetylcholine receptor (AChR) cluster homeostasis in cellular, animal, and clinical studies, evidence regarding its potential to modulate muscle contraction in myasthenia gravis (MG) remains limited.

Antibacterial Effects of a Silver Electrode Carrying Microamperage Direct Current in vitro [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Currently, electrical stimulation is an accepted method used clinically to promote chronic wound healing. A literature review revealed that similar therapeutic current has been shown to suppress growth of common wound pathogens in vitro and in vivo.
