Electrical Conductance of Charged Nanopores
A nanopores's response to an electrical potential drop is characterized by its electrical conductance, \tilde{G}. It has long been thought that at low concentrations, the conductance is independent of the electrolyte concentration, \tilde{c}_0, such that \tilde{G} ~ \tilde{c}_0^0. It has been recently demonstrated that surface charge regulation changes

Abstract The establishment of guidelines and curriculum standards for medical physics residency training is a critical component of setting expectations and competencies for the profession. Since the last publication of these standards, residency training has become integrated into the eligibility criteria for most medical physics certification bodies.

Investigation of the electrical conductivity of propylene glycol-based ZnO nanofluids
Electrical conductivity is an important property for technological applications of nanofluids that has not been widely studied. Conventional descriptions such as the Maxwell model do not account for surface charge effects that play an important role in ...

Cerebello‐Prefrontal Connectivity Underlying Cognitive Dysfunction in Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 2
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 2 (SCA2) is a hereditary cerebellar degenerative disorder, with motor and cognitive symptoms. The constellation of cognitive symptoms due to cerebellar degeneration is named cerebellar cognitive affective syndrome (CCAS), which has increasingly been recognized to profoundly impact patients' quality of life;

Electric conductivity of lead iron niobate [PDF]
Results of d.c. electric conductivity and Seebeck coefficient measurements for PFN, PFN+Li ceramic samples and PFN single crystals are presented. Marked influence of doping with lithium on the value of electric conductivity, and on the type of electric conductance has been found.
