Simulations of a weakly conducting droplet under the influence of an alternating electric field [PDF]
We investigate the electrohydrodynamics of an initially spherical droplet under the influence of an external alternating electric field by conducting axisymmetric numerical simulations using a charge-conservative volume-of-fluid based finite volume flow solver.

The origin of the unusual anisotropic electrical conductivity of Ba3Al2As4 [PDF]
Ba3Al2As4 exhibits an unusual anisotropic electrical conductivity, that is, the electrical conductivity along the chain is smaller than those along other two directions which conflicts previous conclusion. Earlier studies on Ca5M2Pn6 showed a high electrical conductivity along the chain.

Reaction of 2,3,6,7,10,11-hexaaminotriphenylene with Ni(2+) in aqueous NH3 solution under aerobic conditions produces Ni3(HITP)2 (HITP = 2,3,6,7,10,11-hexaiminotriphenylene), a new two-dimensional metal-organic framework (MOF).

A Novel Digitalization Approach for Smart Materials – Ontology‐Based Access to Data and Models
In order to access heterogeneous material data and model‐based knowledge, the established ontology‐based data access (OBDA) is extended to include material models. This novel ontology‐based data and model access (OBDMA) enables the computation of new responses beyond stored data.

A unified model for temperature dependent electrical conduction in polymer electrolytes [PDF]
The observed temperature dependence of electrical conduction in polymer electrolytes is usually fitted with two separated equations: an Arrhenius equation at low temperatures and Vogel-Tamman-Fulcher (VTF) at high temperatures. We report here a derivation of a single equation to explain the variation of electrical conduction in polymer electrolytes at ...

Hydrogel‐Based Capacitive Sensor Model for Ammonium Monitoring in Aquaculture
Traditional techniques for monitoring aquaculture water quality, particularly ammonium levels, harm fish. This work presents a novel capacitive sensor with an ionic hydrogel transducer to monitor ammonium concentration in real time based on the ammonium‐induced hydrogel dissociation and osmotic pressure. Monitoring aquaculture water quality, especially
