Manufacturing problems such as heat treatment‐induced cracking hinder the widespread application of the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) process to superalloys. In this study, cracks in the LPBF components of Inconel 738LC superalloy are characterized after heat treatment at various temperature ranges, revealing two distinct cracking behaviors.

Multilayer Self‐Limiting Electrospray Deposition via Stepped Voltage Bias
Self‐limiting electrospray deposition (SLED) uses a high voltage to generate and deposit a charged payload on a target surface. The coating retains its charge, repelling newly arriving material. SLED thickness can be decreased by applying a secondary bias to the target.

Residual adhesive after electrode loading in adhesive‐assisted resistance spot welding is quantified through a traceable experimental‐to‐digital workflow. Chromatic confocal topography provides calibrated surface‐height data, while OpenCV detects the electrode imprint and integrates adhesive height into comparable volume metrics.

Smart Electric Fault Detection and Protection
Power transformers are critical components in electricity distribution networks, and their failure can cause blackouts and hazards to public safety. This paper proposes a low-cost real-time fault detection and protection device that continuously monitors transformer voltage and current against a nominal 230 V reference.
