Electrical Resistance Tomography imaging of concrete
Cement and Concrete Research, 2008We apply Electrical Resistance Tomography (ERT) for three dimensional imaging of concrete. In ERT, alternating currents are injected into the target using an array of electrodes attached to the target surface, and the resulting voltages are measured using the same electrodes.

Reconstruction techniques for electrical resistance tomography
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2000The unknown resistivity of a bounded conductive body is retrieved starting from boundary measurements in stationary conditions. A new nonlinear inversion procedure following a critical analysis of the well-known Newton-Kantorovic method is proposed. The wavelets compression capabilities are used to reduce the number of parameters needed to describe the

Coupling Simulation for electrical resistance tomography
2016 IEEE International Conference on Imaging Systems and Techniques (IST), 2016The performance of electrical resistance tomography (ERT) system is usually investigated by numerical simulation or static tests using some simple phantoms. The objective of this paper is to construct a coupling simulation model for ERT. In this model, the distribution information of multi-phase flow is exchanged between the fluid field and electric ...

Practical application of electrical impedance tomography and electrical resistive tomography
2016 Progress in Electromagnetic Research Symposium (PIERS), 2016Usage of electrical impedance tomography and electrical resistance tomography will be in the article. The electrical impedance tomography is a widely investigated problem with many applications in physical and biological sciences. Medical imaging can be used primarily for the detection of pulmonary emboli, non-invasive monitoring of heart function and ...

Electrical Resistivity Tomography of The Ore Heap
Engineering and Mining Geophysics 2021, 2021Summary The article shows the results of three-dimensional inversion of electrotomographic data obtained on the heap leach ore pile. The main purpose of the study has to identify filtration channels inside the heap, dry ore blocks and leaks through the waterproofing layer. The array of 3-D data was obtained from the 2-D dataset.

Image Appraisal Tools for Electrical Resistivity Tomography
Symposium on the Application of Geophysics to Engineering and Environmental Problems 2011, 2011Image appraisal is a problem frequently encountered in electrical resistivity Tomography (ERT), and more generally in non-linear geophysical Inversion. It may include several aspects such as the identification of the geometry of buried structures, the detection of numerical artefacts, the estimation of the depth of Investigation or the exactitude of ...

Electrical resistance tomography: complementarity and quadratic models
Inverse Problems, 2000Summary: Electrical resistance tomography, the nonlinear inverse problem of retrieving the resistivity of an unknown body from steady-state boundary measurements, is addressed by a quadratic model that approximates the operator mapping the unknown parameters into boundary data. The forward problem, i.e.

Uncertainties Analysis of Electrical Resistivity Tomography
2021<p>We examined the uncertainty of the resistivity method in cavity studies using a synthetic cavity model set at six-different depths. Conceptual models were simulated to generate synthetic resistivity data for dipole-dipole, pole-dipole, Wenner-Schlumberger, and pole-pole arrays.

Experience With Anisotropic Inversion For Electrical Resistivity Tomography
15th EEGS Symposium on the Application of Geophysics to Engineering and Environmental Problems, 2002An iterative, Occam’s-style, regularized inverse approach was used to invert a finite-difference based forward model. The new algorithm was tested on existing data from several sites. The use of the anisotropic inversion algorithm produced images that are less prone to artifacts.
