Actuating and Sensing Composites of Liquid Crystal Elastomers and Poly(ionic liquid)s
Ionic conductive, mechanically tough, flexible, and stretchable filaments of a composite material comprising a liquid crystal elastomer and a poly(ionic liquid) are produced through 3D printing, which exhibit large actuation strain under stimulation and electrical resistance variation in response to deformation or environmental condition changes. Their

Nanosecond pulse laser texturing yields superhydrophobic and superhydrophilic AA2024 surfaces. Salt‐spray tests show that periodic superhydrophobic patterns suppress pitting, whereas superhydrophilic textures enhance it, linking laser‐induced morphology, wettability, and oxide chemistry to corrosion resistance.

Electrical Resistivity of a Tumor
Oncology, 1985The resistivities of a Swarm murine basement membrane sarcoma and also surrounding tissue in BALB/c mice were determined. The circuit used allowed resistivity to be measured independently of the electrode geometry and capacitance. The tumor exhibited a resistivity of 310 +/- 52 omega X cm and the tissue 653 +/- 142 omega X cm.

Electrical resistance of the cochlear partition
Hearing Research, 1978The relationship between the calculated value of the effective electrical resistance of the cochlear partition and the distance between the electrode for measuring the EP and the stimulating electrodes has been studied. The calculated value of the effective electrical resistance of the cochlear partition declines linearly with increasing distance ...

The next six chapters describe the transport phenomena associated with the flow of charge, heat, and matter. In each case there is a vector flux that is governed by a vector field. Linear relationships between flux and field include electrical resistivity (Chapter 17), thermal conductivity (Chapter 18), diffusion (Chapter 19), and thermoelectricity ...

The Electrical Resistivity of Stacking Faults
physica status solidi (b), 1962AbstractA one‐electron theory of the scattering of electrons from infinitely extended stacking faults in f. c. c. metals is given for an arbitrarily shaped Fermi surface. The corresponding linearised transport problem is then solved without approximation. The wave functions are represented by expansions in terms of Wannier functions.

The Electrical Resistivity of Insulating Materials
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1927A brief review is given of the literature on conduction through insulators. Every dielectric has a definite resistivity when the potential gradient is below a certain value, different for each substance. If the potential gradient is continually increased, a point is reached where an increase in voltage does not affect the current.

The Interelectrode Electrical Resistance at Defibrillation
Scandinavian Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, 1972A determination of electrical resistance over the living, human myocardium was performed during defibrillation. Measurements were made between electrodes directly applied on the naked heart as well as on the chest for external use. Internal defibrillations showed a resistance of 32.7 ohms, which is approximately half the value of earlier assumptions ...
