Mountain permafrost degradation documented through a network of permanent electrical resistivity tomography sites

open access: yesThe Cryosphere, 2018
. Mountain permafrost is sensitive to climate change and is expected to gradually degrade in response to the ongoing atmospheric warming trend. Long-term monitoring of the permafrost thermal state is a key task, but problematic where temperatures are ...

Experimental Study on Electrical Resistivity Characteristics of Saturated Sand Mixes with Bentonite Slurry

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Bentonite slurry is widely used in underground and geotechnical engineering because of its strong ability of wall protection. Slurry penetration, which is of great significance for the soil stability, is difficult to observe directly during the soil and ...

Electrical Resistivity of SmAg, SmCu, and SmAu [PDF]

open access: yes, 1967
The electrical resistivity of equiatomic phases of Sm with Cu, Ag and Au was measured down to 4.2°K. Anomalies were found at 10°K for SmCu and at 42°K for SmAg.

Modeling the electrical resistivity of polymer composites with segregated structures

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
Hybrid carbon nanotube composites with two different types of fillers have attracted considerable attention for various advantages. The incorporation of micro-scale secondary fillers creates an excluded volume that leads to the increase in the electrical

Observing the spin-Coulomb drag in spin-valve devices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The Coulomb interaction between electrons of opposite spin orientations in a metal or in a doped semiconductor results in a negative off-diagonal component of the electrical resistivity matrix -- the so-called "spin-drag resistivity".

Application of electrical resistivity measurement as quality control test for calcareous soil

open access: yesHBRC Journal, 2018
Soil properties determination for some applications requires quick, easy and cheap method rather than using the traditional sophisticated, time consuming and expensive laboratory test methods.

The Electrical Resistance of Metals. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review, 1921
Electrical Resistance of Eighteen Elements.---The paper contains a brief summary of an extensive series of measurements which are to be published in detail elsewhere made to determine the effect of pressures up to 12000 kg. per sq. cm. and of temperatures from 0\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} to 275\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} $C$.

Electrical resistivity and spatial variation in agriculture terraces: statistical correlation between ert and flow direction algorithms

open access: yesOpen Agriculture, 2017
The construction of earthen embankment terraces in the Douro Region raises a set of problems related to hydrological processes. The main objective of this study is the evaluation of the spatial variation of electrical resistivity in agriculture terraces ...

ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY OF NpTe

open access: yesLe Journal de Physique Colloques, 1988
Resistivity measurements on NpTe single crystal are presented. Its temperature dependence cannot be easily understood either from a metallic or semiconducting point of view : below room temperature ρ first increases reaching a maximum at Tmax > TN and then decreases saturing near T = 0 K to ρ0 which is larger than ρ300.
