Resistance heating using electrically conductive cements

Advances in Cement Research, 2004
Steel fibre (8 μm diameter, 0·72 vol.%)-reinforced cement was found to be effective for resistance heating. A DC electrical power input of 5·6 W (7·1 V, 0·79 A) resulted in a maximum temperature of 60°C (initial temperature = 19°C) and a time of 6 min to reach half the maximum temperature. Efficiency of energy conversion increased with time of heating,

The thermal conductivity and electrical resistivity of indium

Philosophical Magazine, 1962
Abstract Values for the thermal conductivity, electrical resistivity and Lorenz number of the metal indium are reported for the approximate temperature range -190° to 120°C. The Lorenz number no longer behaves anomalously and the value hitherto listed for the thermal conductivity of indium at normal temperatures is considered to be low by a factor of 3·

The thermal conductivity and electrical resistivity of rhenium

Journal of the Less Common Metals, 1963
Abstract Values are presented and discussed for the thermal conductivity and electrical resistivity of a sample of rhenium. The temperature range covered is 80° to 500°K, for the thermal conductivity and 1.85° to 1,660°K for the electrical resistivity.

Electrical Resistance of Solder Joints on Conductive Ribbons

2020 43rd International Spring Seminar on Electronics Technology (ISSE), 2020
The paper deals with high humidity and high temperature ageing reliability of joints soldered / glued by non-conductive adhesive (NCA) onto the conductive ribbon. The prepared samples were accelerated aged at $85 \, ^{\circ}\mathrm{C}$ temperature and 85 % RH for 1000 hours.

Electrical Conductivity and Resistivity

1999
A high resistivity is the same as a low conductivity and a low resistivity is the same as a high conductivity. This chapter discusses everything in terms of resistivity, with the understanding that conductivity can be obtained by taking the inverse of resistivity.

Electrical resistivity and thermal conductivity of UP1−xSx

Journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids, 1976
Abstract UP, US, and their solid solutions of several compositions were prepared, and the electrical resistivities of these samples were measured from liquid nitrogen temperature to 1000 K and the thermal diffusivities from 300 to 1000 K. It was shown that the resistivity of UP 1− x S x at the paramagnetic region arose mainly from the scattering ...

Estimation of the volume resistivity of electrically conductive composites

Polymer Composites, 1997
AbstractThe modeling of the electrical conductivity of polymer composites reinforced with conductive fibers is investigated. Existing models generally can be divided into percolation theories and non‐percolation theories. The basis of the percolation theory is the fact that the conductivity of the composite increases dramatically at a certain fiber ...
