Electrical resistivity tomography for aquifer imaging
Aspects related to the development of a technique called electrical resistance tomography for producing two- or three dimensional subsurface images of an aquifer have been discussed. The technique is based on the automated measurement and computerised analysis of electrical resistivity changes caused by natural or man-made processes.

Geophysical-geotechnical sensor networks for landslide monitoring [PDF]
Landslides are often the result of complex, multi-phase processes where gradual deterioration of shear strength within the sub-surface precedes the appearance of surface features and slope failure.

Reference data for Electrical Resistance Tomography
At the conference we will present a first draft of a machine-readable refer- ence dataset structure for ERT measurements on thin film materials, based on XLM language. Reference data will include ERT measurements, along with a set of meta- data, such as information about the samples (geometry, materials), the measurement protocol used to perform the ...

We discuss the inverse problem of determining the, possibly anisotropic, conductivity of a body $\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^{n}$ when the so-called Neumann-to-Dirichlet map is locally given on a non empty curved portion $\Sigma$ of the boundary $\partial ...

Normally, a gas–solids flow should be non-conductive. With the increase in moisture content in a gas–solids flow, the non-conductive flow may become low-conductive. For the measurement of low-conductive materials, i.e. particles with high moisture content, in the pharmaceutical industry, both electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) and traditional ...

A study of stability analysis of pyroclastic covers based on electrical resistivity measurements
Usually, the degree of stability of a slope is quantified by the Factor of Safety whose values depend on physical and mechanical soil properties analyzed on samples of much reduced sizes or referring to very small soil volumes around porous probes.
