Forecasting Electrical Energy Consumptions

open access: yesWSEAS TRANSACTIONS ON POWER SYSTEMS
Electrical energy management of an organization is related to the appropriate planning of required payments and allocation of resources accordingly. It is important for good management to account for past costs and to forecast future costs. An intelligent solution for the mathematical formalization of this process is presented in the study.

Rapid Sintering of Porous Organic Polymer Powders Into Mechanically Strong Monoliths for Efficient CO2 Capture

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Spark plasma sintering enables rapid processing of porous organic polymer (POP) from fine powders to a freestanding and mechanically robust monolith. The sintering process retains the CO2 adsorption capacity and CO2/N2 selectivity, making the monolith more suitable as a solid sorbent for practical carbon capture applications.

Electrically Tunable On‐Chip Topological Photonics with Integrated Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates electrically tunable on‐chip topological THz devices by integrating 2D carbon nanotube (CNT) sheets with valley‐Hall photonic crystals, enabling broadband transmission modulation (71% modulation depth) and tunable narrowband filtering (0.54 GHz shift) through electrically induced thermal tuning. This advancement paves the way for

Tailoring the Properties of Functional Materials With N‐Oxides

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The properties of materials bearing N‐oxide groups are often dominated by the polar N+─O− bond. It provides hydrophilicity, selective ion‐binding, electric conductivity, or antifouling properties. Many of the underlying mechanisms have only recently been discovered, and the interest in N‐oxide materials is rapidly growing.
