Electrocatalytic Reduction of CO2 to Ethylene: Catalyst Design and Synchrotron‐Based Characterizations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review evaluates strategies for electrochemical CO2 reduction to ethylene, focusing on copper‐based catalyst design and microenvironment modulation to achieve industrial‐grade performance. By leveraging operando synchrotron‐based characterizations, we provide a multiscale understanding of dynamic structural transformations and key reaction ...

Spin‐Dependent Generation of Surface‐Bound Radicals Toward Selective and Long‐Lasting Water Purification

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study develops a novel atomic engineering strategy to fine‐tune the spin state of α‐Fe2O3 catalysts toward a medium‐spin state, thereby modulating peroxymonosulfate activation and selectively yielding surface‐bound radicals. Compared with free radicals, surface‐bound radicals exhibit moderated oxidation potential, extended lifespan, surface ...

Water consumption of electric power system in China: from electricity generation to consumption

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2023
Understanding the water requirement of electricity generation is critical to the development of both electricity and water systems, while the water consumption of the whole electric power system remains unrevealed. Here, we examine the water consumption driven by electricity generation, transmission, and consumption in China, finding that 14 billion m3

Benchmarking electricity consumption

Construction Management and Economics, 2006
The building stock is one of the largest energy consumers and simultaneously represents a relevant cost driver for most companies. Thus, buildings should be optimally planned, constructed and used from both an environmental and from an economic perspective.

Monthly Electricity Consumption Forecasting

2021
Economic growth has greatly fluctuated around the world in recent years, and external economic factors (EEFs) have imposed more obvious effects on electricity consumption. To improve the accuracy and applicability of mid-term, especially monthly, electricity consumption forecasting, a novel monthly electricity consumption forecasting framework (denoted
