MXene–MOF Hybrid Nanocomposites: Emerging Platforms for Sustainable Wastewater Treatment

open access: yesEcoMat, Volume 8, Issue 7, July 2026.
This review presents MXene–MOF hybrid materials for advanced water purification. By integrating the high conductivity and hydrophilicity of MXenes with the tunable porosity of MOFs, these hybrids demonstrate superior performance in adsorption, photocatalysis, and electrochemical degradation.

Treatment of non-biodegradable wastewater by electro-Fenton method

open access: yesWater Science and Technology, 2004
A novel electro-Fenton method, called the Fered-Fenton method, applying H2O2 and electrogenerated ferrous ions for treating organic-containing wastewater was investigated. By combining electrochemical reduction and chemical oxidation, the process can regenerate ferrous ions and remove organic compounds simultaneously in a batch reactor.
