Dynamic Response Analysis of Control Loops in an Electro-Hydraulic Servo Pump Control System

open access: yesProcesses, 2022
An electro-hydraulic servo pump control system realizes the basic action of a hydraulic cylinder by controlling the servo motor, which effectively improves the problems of a traditional valve control system such as high energy consumption, low power-to ...

Experimental Verification of An Electro-Hydraulic Actuation System Driven by An Integrated Electro-Hydraulic Unit

International Journal of Fluid Power, 2023
This paper proposes an electro-hydraulic actuator (EHA) system, and a novel-designed electro-hydraulic unit (EHU) consisting of a fixed-displacement hydraulic gear machine and a variable-speed electric machine. The novel EHU design integrates an electric machine and a hydraulic machine in a single housing, targeting optimal compactness, power density ...

Projective control of electro-hydraulic servo system

Proceedings of the 2001 American Control Conference. (Cat. No.01CH37148), 2001
A nonlinear dynamic model for an electro-hydraulic servo system is developed. The model's response is compared with that of an actual valve. A projective control algorithm is used to control the motion of a load. Robustness of the control algorithm is analyzed through simulations.

Electro-Hydraulic Braking System Modelling and Simulation

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2003
<div class="htmlview paragraph">The first step toward a braking system ‘by wire’ is Electro-Hydraulic Braking System (EHB). The paper describes a method to evaluate through virtual experimentation the actual improvement in vehicle behaviour, from the point of view of both handling and comfort, including also pedal feeling, due to EHB.

The electro-hydraulic valvetrain system

MTZ worldwide, 2004
The electro-hydraulic valvetrain system (EHVS) is one of the most flexible options for replacing the conventional mechanical camshaft by an electronically controlled actuator system. Thus, fully variable feeding and dissipation of the gases involved in the combustion process can be ensured.

Virtual model of an electro-hydraulic system

2013 International Conference on Process Control (PC), 2013
This paper deals with the design of model of electro-hydraulic system with failure simulation feature. The fundamental causes and effects of failures of electro-hydraulic system are summarized. Virtual Simulink model of electro-hydraulic system has been developed and implemented in compliance with performed FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis ...

An optimal controller for an electro-hydraulic system

2016 16th International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems (ICCAS), 2016
In this paper, an advanced controller is presented for position tracking control and minimizing control energy of an electro-hydraulic system. An index function is first formulated for the closed-loop performance. The optimal control input is then calculated based on the Taylor series expansion of the index function.

Electro Hydraulic Power Steering System

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1999
<div class="htmlview paragraph">Visteon Automotive Systems has developed an Electro-Hydraulic Power Assist Steering (EHPAS) System. This low-cost system uses conventional hydraulic power steering components with an electrically-driven and electronically-controlled power steering pump.

Electronics for electro-hydraulic actuation system

2015 IEEE 21st International Symposium for Design and Technology in Electronic Packaging (SIITME), 2015
The electro-hydraulic actuation system was designed and realized by INOE 2000 - IHP for Regional Air Services - Tuzla Airport. It is used on the Cabin Emergency and Escape Trainer CEET B732 for the Sea Survival School. The closed loop control system controller, that implements the actuation system functionality, was designed as a software application ...

Electro-hydraulic fully variable valve train system

MTZ worldwide, 2010
Since the end of last year, Fiat has been mass-producing the first fully variable valve train, which is based on electro-hydraulic valve phasing [1]. The Schaeffler Group secured the rights to UniAir technology at an early stage and, as a development partner for the system and its key components, describes the main design steps in this report. Ensuring
