Nano/Mesoporous Carbon from Rice Starch for Voltammetric Detection of Ascorbic Acid

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
Rice starch (RS-)based nano/mesoporous carbon (RSNMC) was prepared via a hard-templating route using cheap rice starch as a carbon source. XRD and TEM characterization indicated the formation of organized nanoporous RSNMC.

Metal Organic Framework‐Modified Carbon Fiber Microelectrodes for Enhanced Neurochemical Detection

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 8, 15 April 2026.
In this work, we modified carbon fiber microelectrodes (CFMEs) with the iron‐based metal organic framework MIL‐88B(Fe) and examined their performance using fast scan cyclic voltammetry (FSCV). The modification enhanced the dopamine signal at low concentrations and enabled consistent nanomolar detection, while maintaining clear peak separation in ...

Tuning of the Optical Properties of Cis‐ and Trans‐Bis‐Tetrazo[1,2‐b]indazoles Guided by Predictive DFT: An Isomer Story

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 16, 24 April 2026.
We report the synthesis and properties of novel N‐rich polyaromatics (cis‐ and trans tetrazo[1,2‐b]indazoles). Following a density functinal theory (DFT)‐guided molecular engineering, we introduced substituents at various positions. The effect of these substituents on the spectroscopic/redox properties was fully rationalized by DFT.

High‐Throughput Glucose Biosensing Using Jack Bean [Canavalia ensiformis (L.) DC.] Lectin as Electrochemical Signaling Element

open access: yesElectroanalysis, Volume 38, Issue 4, April 2026.
An electrochemical biosensor employing Canavalia ensiformis lectin immobilized on a Prussian Blue‐modified glassy carbon electrode was developed for label‐free glucose detection at submicromolar levels. The integration of lectin biorecognition with the conductive Prussian Blue layer ensured stable and selective signal transduction.
