Electrocaloric effect in relaxor ferroelectrics [PDF]
A theoretical model for the electrocaloric effect (ECE) in relaxor ferroelectrics is presented. By solving a self-consistent relation for the ECE temperature change ΔT and minimizing numerically the mean field free energy for relaxors, the field and temperature dependence of ΔT is calculated.

Electrocaloric and barocaloric effects in CsH2PO4 ferroelectric
To investigate the caloric effects in the CsH2PO4 ferroelectric, a modified pseudospin model of this crystal is used, which takes into account the dependence of the parameters of interaction between pseudospins on lattice strains. The model also takes into account the dependence of the effective dipole moment of a pseudospin on the order parameter.

Electrocaloric cooling technologies for a sustainable world
Our societies are highly dependent on reliable cooling for air conditioning (AC) and refrigeration. Currently, modern cooling is supported by a 19th century technology: vapor compression cycle (VCC)-based cooling. Refrigerants used in the VCC cooling are
