Nonlinear projective filtering I: Application to real time series [PDF]
We discuss applications of nonlinear filtering of time series by locally linear phase space projections. Noise can be reduced whenever the error due to the manifold approximation is smaller than the noise in the system. Examples include the real time extraction of the fetal electrocardiogram from abdominal recordings.

A Touch Enabled Hemodynamic and Metabolic Monitor
This work presents a touch‐based hybrid platform for simultaneous monitoring of vital signs and sweat metabolites. With a simple tri‐finger touch of 4–6 min, users can concurrently get to know their glucose, uric acid, cortisol levels from fingertip sweat, along with blood pressure and heart rate.

A Single‐Stage Differential Amplifier Using Organic Electrochemical Transistors
A three‐transistor differential amplifier using depletion‐mode organic electrochemical transistors is implemented that offers a common‐mode rejection ratio of up to ≈20 dB. Compared to a Wheatstone bridge amplifier, ECG recordings with this amplifier showed improved signal‐to‐noise ratio, gain, and power consumption.

All patients operated for oesophageal cancer in Sweden from 2013 to April 2018 were identified, and 246 patients were recruited to this population‐based nationwide Swedish study. The results show that longitudinal health‐related quality of life after minimally invasive oesophagectomy was similar to that of the open surgical approach.
