Association between PM2.5 components and electrocardiogram abnormalities among elderly individuals: a longitudinal study in Guangzhou, China

open access: yesBMC Cardiovascular Disorders
Background Fine particulate matter (PM2.5) is linked with cardiovascular diseases (CVD), however, its association with electrocardiogram (ECG) abnormality, a prognostic indicator of CVD, remains largely unknown, especially different chemical components ...

Electrocardiographic localization of infarct related coronary artery in acute ST elevation myocardial infarction [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Scientific Research, 2013
The electrocardiogram (ECG) remains a crucial tool in the identification and management of acute myocardial infarction (MI). A detailed analysis of patterns of ST-segment elevation may influence decisions regarding the use of reperfusion therapy.

An unseen ′face′ of hyperkalemia

open access: yesJournal of the Scientific Society, 2013
Hyperkalemia with normal or minimal electrocardiogram (ECG) changes is not commonly encountered. The ′milder′ presentation may mask and hence lead to an under-management of a severe hyperkalemia.

Facile Fabrication of Low‐Impedance, Highly Conformal Epidermal Electrodes Based on Laser‐Induced Graphene–Silver Nanocomposites

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A facile laser‐induced graphene–silver nanocomposite strategy enables ultrathin epidermal electrodes with low impedance, high conductivity, and excellent mechanical robustness. The porous LIG–Ag conductive network mechanically interlocked with SEBS provides stable, motion‐resistant biopotential monitoring, enabling high‐fidelity ECG, EMG, and EEG ...

Dual‐Mode Nanoporous SiO2 Memristors with Coexisting Volatile and Nonvolatile Dynamics for Reservoir Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nanoporous SiO2 memristor enabling reconfigurable volatile and non‐volatile switching within a single device is demonstrated. The dual‐mode functionality supports both physical reservoir dynamics and synaptic weight storage, allowing unified hardware implementation of reservoir computing for temporal information processing, including image and ...

Natural Variation of COLD and CATECHINS REGULATOR 1 Coordinately Fine‐Tunes Cold Tolerance and Tea Quality in Tea Plants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multi‐trait genome‐wide association mapping identifies a central hub regulator, COLD AND CATECHINS REGULATOR 1 (CCR1), and its excellent natural allele variation, coordinately enhancing cold tolerance and promoting catechins biosyntheis. CsCCR1 interacts with CsCBF1/3 and is transcriptionally activated by CsLUX and CsKUA1 to promote catechins ...

ZER1 Restrains Pressure Overload‐Induced Cardiac Remodeling by Targeting DVL2 for Gly/N‐Degron‐Dependent Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pressure overload suppresses cardiomyocyte ZER1, weakening CRL2Zer1‐mediated DVL2 degradation and allowing DVL2 accumulation. Elevated DVL2 activates CaMKII‐HDAC4‐MEF2C signaling, drives fetal gene reactivation, and promotes pathological remodeling.

A Pathology‐Instructed Theranostic Platform with Mechanoadaptive and ROS‐Powered Nanobreathing Functions for Precision Myocardial Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a pH responsive theranostic serum albumin hydrogel named BST, functionalized with MRI and CT probes and loaded with mitochondria targeted CAT‐SOD nanogels, that rapidly self repairs and mechanically stabilizes the infarcted myocardium, releases therapeutic nanogels and albumin under hypoxia induced acidosis to clear mitochondrial ROS ...
