From Word2Vec to Transformers: Text‐Derived Composition Embeddings for Filtering Combinatorial Electrocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
With the downstream filter held fixed, text‐derived composition representations produce distinct screening outcomes across 14 electrocatalyst libraries. Embedding model and composition encoding control the trade‐off between candidate reduction and preservation of the best measured current.

Electron Bridge Enhanced Charge Polarization Enables Efficient and Ultra‐Long Stable Urea Electrosynthesis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
An electron bridge strategy is developed to regulate charge polarization in Pd1 and Ni1 dual single‐atom sites, promoting CO2 reduction, nitrate reduction, and C–N coupling simultaneously. The resulting catalyst achieves efficient urea electrosynthesis with high activity and record durability over 1700 h.

Electro‐Organic Synthesis at a Stable Oil/Water/Solid Three‐Phase Interface Reactor

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A porous membrane electrode (PME) reactor is developed to promote oil/water/solid three‐phase interfacial contact for electro‐organic synthesis. By promoting the formation of an oil/water interfacial region within or near an amphiphilic catalytic layer, the reactor enables efficient conversion of water‐insoluble organic reactants in aqueous ...

Boosting Charge Storage in Ferri/Ferrocyanide‐Based Alkaline Redox Flow Batteries

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
By modifying the solvation environment, cation engineering through Li+ substitution of traditional K+ or Na+ boosts the alkaline solubility of the ferri/ferrocyanide catholyte redox couple, providing a viable pathway to overcome the long‐standing challenge of energy density limitations for aqueous redox flow batteries (RBFs).

Insights into the Degradation Mechanism of Aqueous LiMn2O4–Cathode Interfaces by Computational Vibrational Spectroscopy

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
LiMn2O4${\rm LiMn}_2{\rm O}_4$ is of high interest for sustainable energy storage and conversion. Its mixed‐valence Mn3+${\rm Mn}^{3+}$/Mn4+${\text{Mn}}^{4+}$ structure drives site‐specific behavior at aqueous interfaces, featuring proton‐generating Mn4+${\text{Mn}}^{4+}$ centers and electron‐rich Mn3+${\rm Mn}^{3+}$ sites that render the surrounding ...
