Palladium Monolayer Electrocatalysts

2020
In this chapter, a Pd monolayer electrocatalyst has been described, showing that, in principle, other metals, not only Pt, can serve as monolayer electrocatalysts. When supported by adequate cores, these electrocatalysts can have platinum-like stability.

Platinum-Based Oxygen Reduction Electrocatalysts

Accounts of Chemical Research, 2013
An efficient oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) offers the potential for clean energy generation in low-temperature, proton-exchange membrane fuel cells running on hydrogen fuel and air. In the past several years, researchers have developed high-performance electrocatalysts for the ORR to address the obstacles of high cost of the Pt catalyst per kilowatt ...

Carbonyl Tailored Electrocatalysts

Fuel Cells, 2006
AbstractIn recent years, a number of carbonyl clusters have been used as precursors to synthesize electrocatalysts of the nanolength scale for fuel cell reactions. This short review aims to delineate the concepts underlying the synthesis of these type of materials, highlighting the rationale of this type of research.
