Electrochemical corrosion behavior of Al18B4O33w/Al composite
Journal of Materials Science, 2005The effects of the volume fraction of alumina borate (Al18B4O33) whisker and the scan rate of potentiodynamic technique on the localized corrosion behaviors of Al18B4O33w/Al composite were investigated. Potentiodynamic polarizations and cyclic polarizations were performed to examine the electrochemical corrosion behavior of the composites.

Electrochemical corrosion behavior of nanocrystalline copper bulk
Materials Science and Engineering: A, 2007Abstract The corrosion behavior of nanocrystalline (nc) copper bulk prepared by IGCWC (inert gas condensation and in situ warm compress) was studied in 0.1 mol/L CuSO 4 + 0.05 mol/L H 2 SO 4 solution. It was found that nc copper exhibited a corrosion behavior quite different from conventional coarse-grain copper.

Electrochemical corrosion behaviors of amorphous Co69Fe4.5Ni1.5Si10B15 alloy
Metals and Materials International, 2011The corrosion behavior of an amorphous Co69Fe4.5Ni1.5Si10B15 alloy ribbon was examined as a function of solution temperature (15 °C to 55 °C) and pH (3 to 11). The results of potentiodynamic polarization tests in H2SO4 solution, NaCl solution, and HCl + NaOH solution at various levels of pH showed that the corrosion resistance for the alloy ribbon ...

Electrochemical corrosion and mechanical behaviors of the charged magnesium
Materials Science and Engineering: A, 2008Abstract The electrochemical corrosion and mechanical behaviors of the charged magnesium were investigated using Mott–Schottky (M–S) test and slow strain rate test (SSRT), respectively. The results showed that the hole carrier and vacancy concentrations in the corrosion film increased after cathodic charging due to the formation of magnesium ...

The Electrochemical and Corrosion Behavior of Aluminum
1970Abstract : The electrochemical behavior of high-purity aluminum was studied to clarify the corrosion behavior of the metal when exposed to oxygen-free and oxygen-saturated saline solutions of varying pH. The mixed or corrosion potential, E sub M, of the electropolished high-purity aluminum decreases as the pH is increased except in the intermediate pH ...

Electrochemical Corrosion Behaviors of Nuclear Waste Package Materials
CORROSION 2021, 2021Abstract The corrosion rates of alloys that will be present in spent fuel waste packages are being measured to represent the generation rates of H2 in a breached package under a range of Eh-pH conditions. The H2 concentration is a crucial parameter in repository performance analyses because the presence of even small amounts of H2 in a ...

Effect of laser treatment and hydrophobization on the corrosion-electrochemical behavior of aluminum
Physics and Chemistry of Materials Treatment, 2019The effect of laser treatment of aluminum samples on the properties of the surface hydroxide oxide layer is studied. It is shown that treatment in air leads to an increase in the thickness of the oxide layer and the almost complete disappearance of hydroxide forms, which results in deterioration of the protective properties of this layer due to its ...
