Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Electrochemical Behavior of Gold–Silver Alloy Nanoparticles [PDF]
AbstractWe report the voltammetry of alloy nanoparticles by using cyclic voltammetry to study gold–silver alloy nanoparticles. Through careful comparison with the response of pure gold nanoparticles, pure silver nanoparticles, and their mixture, the contrasting electrochemical behavior of the alloy nanoparticles is established, providing insights into ...

This study applies machine learning regression to predict chromium layer thickness in decorative trivalent chromium electroplating, using 441 experiments from laboratory‐scale (1L) and pilot‐scale (14L) setups. Tree‐based models, particularly CatBoost, outperformed linear regression by capturing nonlinear parameter interactions (R2$R^2$ up to 0.77 ...

Digitalizing electroplating requires both domain knowledge and interoperability. This work introduces PlatOn, a domain ontology for trivalent chromium plating and coating characterization, and a hybrid pipeline that aligns it to a mid‐level reference ontology by combining eight similarity metrics with language model reasoning. Expert‐validated mappings

Electrochemical Preparation and Properties of Al2O3 Nanoparticles Reinforced Cu-based Composites
Metal Cu has excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, but poor mechanical properties. Incorporating ceramic particles into the Cu matrix to prepare Cu-based composites is one of the most effective methods to improve the mechanical properties.

Phase Behavior during Electrochemical Cycling of Ni‐Rich Cathode Materials for Li‐Ion Batteries
Although layered lithium nickel‐rich oxides have become the state‐of‐the‐art cathode materials for lithium‐ion batteries in electric vehicle (EV) applications, they can suffer from rapid performance failure—particularly when operated under conditions of ...

High‐Resolution Corrosion Fingerprinting of Alloy Libraries via Microdroplet Spectroelectrochemistry
Ionic‐liquid microdroplet spectroelectrochemistry enables stable, localized electrochemical measurements over extended timescales. By coupling impedance spectroscopy, wetting analysis, finite‐element simulations, and operando Raman spectroscopy, it disentangles geometrical and electrochemical effects, opening new opportunities for rapid corrosion ...
