Cu‐Based MOF/TiO2 Composite Nanomaterials for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation and the Role of Copper

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.

Colloidal dispersion of poly(ionic liquid)/Cu composite particles for protective surface coating against SAR‐CoV‐2

open access: yesNano Select, 2022
Herein, we report a waterproof anti‐SARS‐CoV‐2 protective film prepared by spray‐coating of an aqueous colloidal dispersion of poly(ionic liquid)/copper (PIL/Cu) composite nanoparticles onto a substrate.

Silicate determination in sea water: toward a reagentless electrochemical method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
ilicate has been determined in sea water by four different electrochemical methods based on the detection of the silicomolybdic complex formed in acidic media by the reaction between silicate and molybdenum salts.

Atomic Size Misfit for Electrocatalytic Small Molecule Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores the application and mechanisms of atomic size misfit in catalysis for small molecule activation, focusing on how structural defects and electronic properties can effectively lower the energy barriers of chemical bonds in molecules like H2O, CO2, and N2.

Testing of Electrochemical Efficiency of Wall-Jet Cell FC2 as a Tool for Detection of Electrochemically Oxidisable Biomarkers

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2015
In order to test the suitability of newly developed wall-jet electrochemical cells FC2 for detection of electrochemically active biomarkers, electrochemical efficiency of those cells have been characterized using [Fe (CN)6]3-/[Fe(CN)6]4-redox couple as a

Global Sensitivity Methods for Design of Experiments in Lithium-ion Battery Context [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Battery management systems may rely on mathematical models to provide higher performance than standard charging protocols. Electrochemical models allow us to capture the phenomena occurring inside a lithium-ion cell and therefore, could be the best model

Redox Active Self-Assembled Monolayer Functioning as a pH Actuator

open access: yesProceedings, 2018
Using electrochemical control to change the chemical environment in liquids is quite challenging because the small surface to volume ratio offered by traditional cells limits the release or modification of chemicals from the electrodes.
