Electrochemical gas sensors based on polypyrrole-porous silicon

Applied Surface Science, 2013
Abstract This work consists in elaborating a gas sensor based on porous silicon and a polypyrrole obtained by covalent grafting and studying its answer in different environments. At first, we were interested in the formation of the nanoporous layers by cyclovoltammetric (CV) in a hydrofluoric acid solution followed by an electrochemical grafting of ...

Electrochemically Functionalized Single‐Walled Carbon Nanotube Gas Sensor

Electroanalysis, 2006
AbstractWe demonstrate a facile fabrication method to make chemical gas sensors using single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) electrochemically functionalized with polyaniline (PANI). The potential advantage of this method is to enable targeted functionalization with different materials to allow for creation of high‐density individually addressable ...

Laser patterning of thin-film electrochemical gas sensors

Applied Surface Science, 1996
Abstract We have patterned a CO 2 thin film electrochemical sensor using Xe laser ablation of Pt, Nasicon and Na 2 CO 3 thin films. A thin metallic absorbing layer on Nasicon is used to achieve reproducible ablation of the ionic conductor with no piercing of the buried Pt electrode.

Intelligent tetrahydrothiophene gas detection based on electrochemical sensor array

Review of Scientific Instruments
With extensive use of natural gas energy, various gas accidents occur frequently. Reasonable odorization of natural gas is an effective way to detect gas leakage in time and avoid gas explosions. Therefore, it is necessary to realize the identification and concentration detection of natural gas odorants to ensure early warning without degrading the gas

N02QCM gas sensor based on electrochemical deposition of PEDOT

2009
In this paper the authors describe the development and the characterization of a Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) sensor for N02 detection with the sensitive layer made of a thin films of poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT). The PEDOT layer was obtained by electropolymerization on one of the gold electrodes of a 10 MHz AT-cut commercial quartz ...
