Degradation Mechanism of ZnO Ceramic Varistors Studied by Electrochemical Hydrogen Charging
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 2003The degradation mechanism of ZnO-based ceramic varistors was investigated by electrochemical hydrogen charging, in which ZnO ceramics were placed in 0.01 M NaOH solution to evolve hydrogen on them by electrolysis of water. After the treatment, the conductivity of the ZnO ceramics was greatly increased and the temperature dependence of resistivity ...

Study on Hydrogen Resistance of X42 Pipeline Steel Under Electrochemical Hydrogen Charging Condition
Volume 6: Materials and Fabrication, 2020Abstract With the development of renewable energy, hydrogen energy is paid more and more attention. Hydrogen is an excellent energy carrier, but it is difficult to store and transport because of its special properties. Hydrogen blended with nature gas is considered to be one of best transition solutions to solve the problem of large ...

Hemispherical bubbles growth on electrochemically charged aluminum with hydrogen
International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, 2007The formation of surface bubbles (blisters) in aluminum during electrochemical charging by hydrogen was studied. The experiments reveal that, in aluminum samples, a wide distribution of hydrogen bubbles on the surface (blisters) was produced during electrochemical charging.

Effects of electrochemical hydrogen charging on electrical properties of WO3 ceramics
Journal of Materials Science, 2007Tungsten trioxide (WO3) films are used extensively in eletrochromic devices [1], surface acoustic wave gas sensors [2] and photo-catalytic degradation [3]. In recent years, there has also been a growing interest in WO3-based ceramics. Due to their high dielectric constant, WO3 ceramics have been proposed for applications in ceramic capacitors [4].

Abstract A high temperature electrochemical charging technique was developed for effective introduction of hydrogen or tritium into the metallic materials to a high level in a short period of time. The samples of the steels and alloys, as the cathode, were charged in an electrochemical cell consists of Pt anode and molten salt electrolyte. After 3, 6

AbstractDecoupled hydrogen and oxygen production were successfully embedded into an aqueous dual‐electrolyte (acid–base) battery for simultaneous energy storage and conversion. A three‐electrode configuration was adopted, involving an electrocatalytic hydrogen‐evolving electrode as cathode, an alkaline battery‐type or capacitor‐type anode as shuttle ...

Electrochemical Behavior of the Palladium-Hydrogen System. III. Gas-Charged Palladium Alloys
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1958Experimental evidence is presented to support the proposed difference in electrochemical properties of the β- and β′-palladium-hydrogen alloys. It is shown that the β-palladium-hydrogen electrode is a true equilibrium hydrogen electrode. A consideration of the electrocapillary properties of pure palladium and the α-palladium alloys in solution provides
