Electrochemical immunosensor for the diagnosis of celiac disease
Analytical Biochemistry, 2009A novel electrochemical immunosensing strategy for the detection of antibodies to tissue transglutaminase (tTG) in human serum is presented. The proposed immunosensor consists of the immobilization by physical adsorption of tTG from guinea pig liver on graphite-epoxy composite (GEC) electrodes.

Development of an electrochemical immunosensor for alanine aminotransferase
Biosensors and Bioelectronics, 2003Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) has been regarded as one of the most sensitive indicators of hepatocellular damage. While ALT is widely used in the practice of medicine, few attempts have been made to develop biosensors applicable to the on-site diagnosis of liver diseases.

Electrochemical Immunosensors for Disease Detection and Diagnosis
Current Medicinal Chemistry, 2018Background: The detection of biological molecules referred as biomarkers in biological fluids is fundamental in clinical analysis because it permits to discriminate between healthy and ill individuals and to evaluate the progress of a disease. The development of immunosensors for the detection and monitoring of biomarkers is currently a major area of

Applications of electrochemical immunosensors to environmental monitoring
Biosensors and Bioelectronics, 1996This paper discusses basic electrochemical immunoassay technology. Factors limiting the practical application of antibodies to analytical problems are also presented. It addresses the potential use of immunoassay methods based on electrochemical detection for the analysis of environmental samples. It provides examples for the detection and quantitation

Advances in electrochemical immunosensors
Electroanalysis, 1997AbstractThe developments in the field of electrochemical immunosensors and immunoassays are reviewed. The enzyme labels suitable for amperometric, potentiometric and conductimetric detection are mentioned. Indirect immunosensors (i.e., that involving enzymatic or electroactive labels) use either heterogeneous or homogeneous formats.

Electrochemical immunosensors for Salmonella detection in food
Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2016Pathogen detection is a critical point for the identification and the prevention of problems related to food safety. Failures at detecting contaminations in food may cause outbreaks with drastic consequences to public health. In spite of the real need for obtaining analytical results in the shortest time possible, conventional methods may take several ...

Electrochemical immunosensors in breast and ovarian cancer
Clinica Chimica Acta, 2013During the last decades the incidence of cancer increased dramatically especially in developed countries. In spite of the fact that the immunochemical methods allowed the diagnosis in early stages, the biopsies are generally invasive methods that create discomfort to patients. The need for fast, sensitive, easy to use and noninvasive diagnosis tools is

Electrochemical immunosensor for the detection of colistin in chicken liver
3 Biotech, 2022An innovative amperometric immunosensor has been developed to detect antibiotic colistin from the chicken liver. Colistin is a antibacterial peptide that has been barred for human consumption, but it is being commonly used as a veterinary drug, and as a feed additive for livestock.

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of polypyrrole based electrochemical immunosensor
Bioelectrochemistry, 2010Polypyrrole (Ppy) has been shown as a matrix for label-free electrochemical immunosensor based on electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. The immunosensing system model presented here was based on bovine leukemia virus (BLV) protein (gp51) entrapped within electrochemically-synthesized polypyrrole (Ppy/gp51).

Electrochemical and chemiluminescent immunosensors for tumor markers
Biosensors and Bioelectronics, 2005The determination of serum tumor markers plays an important role in clinical diagnoses for the patients with certain tumor-associated disease. Although many commercial kits have been applied in clinical immunoassays, conventional methods always have some disadvantages, resulting in the need of other new, efficient, and easily automated methods ...
