Measuring individual overpotentials in an operating solid-oxide electrochemical cell
We use photo-electrons as a non-contact probe to measure local electrical potentials in a solid-oxide electrochemical cell. We characterize the cell in operando at near-ambient pressure using spatially-resolved X-ray photoemission spectroscopy.

Moving electrode electrochemical impedance spectroscopy
Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a powerful tool for analysing material properties and studying interfacial electrochemical processes. During measurement, the sample is contacted via electrodes, and impedance as a function of frequency is determined by applying an AC voltage and measuring the resulting current. In conventional EIS, where

Giant magnetoimpedance: new electrochemical option to monitor surface effects?
Magnetoimpedance, MI, change due to surface modification of the sensitive element caused by biofluids was studied with the aim of creating a robust sensor capable of separating the chemical surface modification from the sensing process.

INHIBITION EFFECT OF SOME THIADIAZOLE DERIVATIVES ON BRONZE CORROSION
The anticorrosive properties of two thiadiazole derivatives, namely 5 amino-1,2,4- thiadiazole (AT) and 2,5 diamino-1,3,4- thiadiazole (DAT) on bronze corrosion in a complex electrolyte at pH=4 has been studied by open-circuit potential ...
