Electrochemical Potential Spectroscopy: A New Electrochemical Measurement

open access: yesJournal of The Electrochemical Society, 1979
A new electrochemical technique is described that involves applying a series of constant potential steps to an electrochemical cell. On each potential step the cell is permitted to attain quasi open‐circuit conditions by letting the current decay to a small, but finite, value.

Corrosion Behavior of Copper in 0.50 M Hydrochloric Acid Pickling Solutions and its Inhibition by 3-Amino-1,2,4-triazole and 3-Amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2012
The corrosion behavior of unalloyed copper (99.999% Cu) in freely aerated hydrochloric acid pickling, 0.50 M HCl, solutions and its inhibition by different concentrations of 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole (ATA) and 3-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole (AMTA) were ...

Effects of Graphite on the Corrosion Behavior of Aluminum-Graphite Composite in Sodium Chloride Solutions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2011
A series of different aluminum-graphite composites (Al-Gr), namely pure Al, Al-1%Gr, Al-2%Gr, and Al-3%Gr, was fabricated. The surface of these composites was investigated using optical microscopy to examine the distribution of exfoliated graphite within

A Study of the Surface Protective Layer Formed on Carbon Steel in Water-Dioxane Solution Containing 0.15 M NaCl in Presence of an azo Dye with Antimicrobial Activity

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2015
In this study we present an azoether dye, 4-[(4-chlorobenzyl)oxy]-4’-chloro-3,5-dimethyl-azobenzene (CDAB), obtained by condensation of 4-chloromethyl chlorobenzene with 4-(4-chloro-phenylazo)-2,6-dimethyl-phenol using the Williamson etherification ...

Determination of Some Heavy Metals in European and Polish Coal Samples

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
This work presents coal analyses for heavy metal content (Tl, Cu, Zn, Cd, Fe). The tested coal samples came from a Russian deposit in the Kuzbass Basin (Novosibirsk and Kemerovo Oblasts, near Kazakhstan) and from Poland.
