Atomized Oxidative Polymerization as a 3D Printing Platform for Binder‐Free, Bulk Conductive Polymer Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Co‐delivery of electrosprayed EDOT and oxidant enables bulk oxidative polymerization during layer‐by‐layer fabrication, creating stable, highly conductive 3D PEDOT structures. This Atomized Oxidative Polymerization (AOP) overcomes the surface deposition‐only and matrix‐limited conductivity of conventional Vapor Phase Polymerization (VPP) and PEDOT:PSS ...

Synthesis, Lithium Insertion and Thermal Stability of Si–Mo Alloys

open access: yes, 2020
Li insertion was investigated in SixMo100−x (90 ≥ x ≥ 70, Δx = 10) alloys prepared by mechanical ball milling. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and quantitative phase analysis were used to analyze phase compositions of these Si–Mo alloys, and how these phase ...

Bandgap‐Engineered AlGaAs/GaAs Heterostructures for Wavelength‐Selective Dual‐Polarity Photoelectrochemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bandgap‐engineered AlGaAs/GaAs heterostructures exhibit wavelength‐selective dual‐polarity photoelectrochemistry, switching from photocathodic to photoanodic response depending on excitation wavelength. The polarity transition is governed by band‐selective absorption, built‐in electric‐field‐driven carrier transport, and interfacial charge‐transfer ...

Support‐Controlled Reaction Pathways via Dynamic Sulfur‐Mediated Interfaces for Selective Urea Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sulfur‐doped graphitized carbon nanofibers act as adaptive catalyst–support platforms, enabling dynamic sulfur‐mediated reconstruction and strong metal–support interactions. This unique behavior enhances catalyst stability and controls reaction pathways, achieving highly selective urea oxidation (∼92% N2) coupled with efficient hydrogen evolution ...

Investigation of the effects of mechanochemical treatment on NaAlH4 based anode materials for Li-ion batteries

open access: yes, 2016
Sodium alanate has proven to be a feasible candidate for electrochemical applications. Within a lithium cell, NaAlH4 closely approaches its theoretical capacity of 1985 mAhg-1 upon the first discharge.

Nano‐Scale Characterization of Impurities Segregation in Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cathodic polarization induces impurity segregation in Ni, forming an amorphous Na─Al─Si─O amorphous phase at grain boundaries. Under ultralow oxygen partial pressure, multiple elements dissolve, migrate, and reoxidize within the metal. A patterned model system provides direct nanoscale evidence, clarifying the mechanism of polarization‐driven impurity ...

Experimental investigation of the process behaviour in Mechano-Electrochemical Milling

open access: yesCIRP Annals, 2018
Abstract The increasing demand for high-performance materials, in for example aerospace and biomedical industries, calls for more efficient and capable technologies. This paper describes a new technology, namely Mechano-Electrochemical Milling (MECM), which combines electrochemical machining (ECM) with a mechanical cutting process.

Milling of Sintered Carbide via Electrochemical Reaction – Investigation of Machining Phenomena –

open access: yesInternational Journal of Automation Technology, 2022
Herein, a new milling method via an electrochemical reaction is proposed to realize the high-speed machining of sintered carbide. In this method, cobalt (Co) on the surface of the sintered carbide is eluted via an electrochemical reaction, and the sintered carbide weakened by the elution of Co is scraped off with an insulating cutting edge.

Redirecting Nano‐Silicon Agglomeration: Dual‐Carbon Design Triggers Self‐Adaptive Nanoporous Si Sponge for Enhanced Lithium Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study addresses silicon anode degradation using an engineered nSi/Gr/C dual‐carbon matrix. By restricting SEI infiltration, the architecture redirects silicon agglomeration into a beneficial structural self‐adaptive activation. During cycling, silicon nanoparticles self‐organize into a resilient nanoporous sponge. This dynamic network accommodates
