Electrochemical Oxidation Induced Selective C-C Bond Cleavage.
Chemical Reviews, 2020Selective C-C bond cleavage under mild conditions can serve as a valuable tool for organic syntheses and macromolecular degradation. However, the conventional chemical methods have largely involved the use of noble transition-metal catalysts as well as ...

On the electrochemical oxidation of enamines
Journal of the Chemical Society, Perkin Transactions 2, 1988The electrochemical oxidation properties of enamines of the cyclic ketones cyclo-pentanone, -hexanone, -heptanone, and -octanone with the cyclic amines pyrrolidine, piperidine, 1-methylpiperazine (1-MP), morpholine (MO), hexa-, and hepta-methyleneimine are investigated with the aid of cyclic voltammetry. The oxidations are totally irreversible.

Electrochemical Oxidation of Nitrogen towards Direct Nitrate Production on Spinel Oxides.
Angewandte Chemie, 2020Nitrates are widely used as fertilizer and oxidizing agents. Commercial nitrate production from nitrogen is mainly through the Haber-Bosch (H-B) process and Ostwald process, both involving high-temperature-high-pressure processes. Therefore, establishing

Electrochemical oxidation of benzyl germatranes
Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 2008Abstract The electrooxidation of ring-substituted bromobenzylgermatranes in CH 3 CN and DMF solutions was studied. By cyclic voltammetry supported by DFT B3LYP/6-311G calculations, donor activity of the nitrogen atom was shown to be substantially reduced because of the dative N → Ge coordination compared to Et 3 N and (HOCH 2 CH 2 ) 3 N.

Electrochemical Oxidation of Benzene to Phenol
Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2011Gas-phase electrochemistry: The direct hydroxylation of benzene to phenol was investigated using an electrochemical cell. The production of phenol over a VO(x) anode was found to be significant at 50 °C. The resultant current efficiency for phenol production and selectivity toward phenol reached 76.5 and 94.7 %, respectively.
