APPLICAZIONI BIOLOGICHE DEI RISONATORI AL QUARZO A ONDE ELASTICHE TRASVERSALI [PDF]
I risonatori al quarzo a onde elastiche trasversali – usualmente identificati con la sigla QCM (dall’inglese Quartz Crystal Microbalance) o indicati, meno comunemente, con l’acronimo TSMR (dall’inglese Thickness Shear Mode Resonators) – costituiscono ...

Dynamic relaxation oscillations in a nonlinearly driven quartz crystal
We demonstrate thermo-mechanical relaxation oscillations in a strongly driven quartz crystal. Dynamic bifurcation leads to two stable oscillation states with a distinct electrical impedance.

Real-time Monitoring of Apatite Deposition Using Electrochemical Quartz Crystal Microbalance
The electrochemical deposition process of apatite was monitored in real-time using an electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM). A piezoelectric quartz oscillator with titanium was fixed to a cell and connected to a frequency counter. The electrolyte temperature was maintained at 20, 37, and 60 degrees C and the direct current density was ...

Application of Electrochemical Quartz Crystal Microbalance to an Electroplating Monitor.
The frequency change in EQCM was measured in an application to the monitoring of the thickness of nickel electroplating. The monitored thickness depended on the type of plating bath and the plating current density, which affected the stress in the plated film and the adhesive force between the gold film electrode and quartz.

Triblock Polymer Engineering Enables Hydration‐Rich, High‐Performance, Fouling‐Resistant Interfaces
A molecularly engineered triblock polymer (PHZ) rapidly reorganizes into a hydration‐rich interfacial layer on diverse surfaces, strongly suppressing hydrophobic attraction and fouling. The triblock polymer provides robust energy and steric barriers to oily foulants, enabling high‐performance antifouling at ultralow dosage.

ABSTRACT Capturing proteins is easy since their amphiphilic nature allows them to bind to almost any surface. Because of this, releasing them is challenging since various interactions need to be considered for this. We present a simple method to reversibly adsorb proteins on stabilized electrodes.
