Atomically Dispersed Cobalt on Ionic Carbon Nitrides for Selective and Efficient Nitrate Electroreduction to Ammonia

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
By exploiting the structural benefits of PHI, we synthesized CoPHI with atomically dispersed cobalt sites at high density. This architecture enables efficient nitrate ion adsorption, promotes water dissociation, and enhances *H generation on the catalyst surface, thereby significantly improving electrochemical nitrate reduction performance.

Physical Reservoir Computing for Smart Manufacturing of PCB Using Crystallinity‐Controlled HfO2 Memristor for Reservoir

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
We address multilayer PCB anomaly detection for smart manufacturing by physical reservoir computing with HfO2‐based memristors. Crystallinity‐tuned HfO2 suppresses ferroelectricity while preserving the high‐k insulating state and confers strong short‐term memory.

A Real‐Time Antifouling Multivalent Aptamer Platform for Wash‐Free Electrochemical Detection of Low‐Abundance Biomarkers in Human Plasma

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Detection of low‐abundance proteins at the point‐of‐care is key for early detection and real‐time monitoring. The clinical translation of such assays is hindered by biofouling, matrix variability, and signal instability. RT‐MagMAp assay overcomes these challenges and enables precise protein quantification in human plasma using a hierarchical assembly ...

Convergent Valorization via Scalable C═N Bond Electrosynthesis Through Metal‐Dopant Interfacial Engineering in a Flow Electrolyzer

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This study establishes an innovative approach to synthesize organonitrogens featuring C═N bonds efficiently using non‐precious metal‐doped MoS2 in a flow electrolyzer. Fe dopant significantly enhances Faradaic efficiency and yield rate, achieving over 81% and 2630 mmol h−1 g−1 for formaldoxime production. This platform upcycles pollutants into valuable

Electrochemical potential tuned solar water splitting

Chemical Communications, 2003
As a fundamental step towards a clean, renewable source of H2, a novel physical chemical process within molten NaOH in which an external single, small bad gap photosentizer, such as Si, can drive the energetics of water cleavage is demonstrated, and is accomplished by tuning (decreasing) the water splitting electrochemical potential, EH2O, rather than ...

Impact of Surface Hydrophilicity on Electrochemical Water Splitting

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2021
The activity of electrocatalysts can be improved by modifying their electronic structures and surface morphologies. In electrochemical reactions with gas evolution, the performance of an electrocatalyst is also affected by how easily gas bubbles depart from an electrocatalyst surface.
