Rejuvenation of Electrochromic Devices
Small Methods, 2023AbstractElectrochromic devices (ECDs) are a hot pot due to their significant energy‐saving effect in green buildings. However, the ECDs suffer from degradation induced by ion trapping during cycling, which restricts their further development. Here, it is demonstrated that the electrochromic performance of the degraded ECDs can be rejuvenated by heat ...

Direct inkjet-patterning of energy efficient flexible electrochromics
Nano Energy, 2018High-quality patterns were successfully prepared by inkjet-printing WO3-PEDOT:PSS composites on different substrates including the rigid FTO glass and most importantly, on flexible PEDOT:PSS/Ag grid/PET.

Electrochromism in Photochromic Dithienylcyclopentenes
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2003Both photochromic and unprecedented electrochromic properties have been observed for a class of 1,2-bis(3-thienyl)cyclopentene derivatives bearing either a thiophene or a phenyl group attached to the reactive carbon centers. These compounds can be interconverted between their colorless ring-open and colored ring-closed states using UV and visible light,

Transmissive electrochromic device
Solar Energy Materials, 1985Abstract This paper describes the fundamental properties of a transmissive electrochromic device. The device is comprised of a semi-solid electrolyte and a WO3 film sandwiched by a pair of electroconductive sheet glasses. The transmittance of the device can be arbitrarily controlled within the range from 80% to 10%.

Full‐Color Electrochromics with Donor‐Gradient Architectures for Chameleon‐Like Adaptive Camouflage
Advanced Optical MaterialsMulticolor electrochromics have emerged as a promising solution for achieving active color modulation akin to chameleon‐like adaptive camouflage. However, the development of electrochromics with full‐color tunability still remains challenging, given the ...

A Nanostructured Electrochromic Supercapacitor
Nano Letters, 2012We report the first successful application of an ordered bicontinuous double-gyroid vanadium pentoxide network in an electrochromic supercapacitor. The freestanding vanadia network was fabricated by electrodeposition into a voided block copolymer template that had self-assembled into the double-gyroid morphology.
